CREATIVE WRITING is a six-week online class on Wednesdays, July 29, August 5, 12, 19, 26, and September 2, at 10am-12pm. You may be interested in this workshop if you are working on stories, essays, blog, a book or another long manuscript. INTRO TO STORYTELLING is a 3-hour workshop on Saturday, July 18, 10am-1pm. Do you have a personal story that you would like to create and maybe even perform? This three-hour virtual workshop will guide you through the key elements that make a great story, including devices of plot, narrator’s character, humor, and surprise. Sufian will also share advice and tips on how to pitch for different shows, if you chose to perform your story. REGISTER below: $49.

Meet your teacher: Sufian Zhemukhov is an award-winning author. He received the 2020 J. J. Reneaux Emerging Artist Award, from the National Storytelling Network “to a storyteller of major and unique performing talent.” Dr. Zhemukhov teaches international affairs at George Washington University. His recent book, Mass Religious Ritual and Intergroup Tolerance (Cambridge UP) won the 2019 Best Book Award from the International Studies Association.
